It is coming up on a full decade of life for According to Una - a huge amount of time, seemingly gone in an instant. I started this site to share my great love of travel, literally the BEST education on the planet. Never intending to be an influencer, not to gain followers or income, but to simply share what makes my heart sing. These posts, and blogs and images have inspired thousands of individuals spanning the globe, and for that I am most grateful. Though I have not been consistent in any way, YOU have all believed in me, provided feedback, come on group adventures, asked questions and most importantly, have explored the world yourself.

With that said, not everyone is on social media, and some folks, prefer the "old fashion" way of getting information, from something tangible, something they can hold and feel. I am of the era of recieving cards and letters and believe this sort of nostalgia is good for everyone. Nothing compares to receiving something in the mail, which is truly for you, not a bill, not an advertisement, not a political donation, not that amazon order you forgot about, but an actual letter to enjoy reading at your leisure.

This is the concept behind Letters from Somewhere -

A place.  A story.  A recipe.  A little wisdom from the road. 

Be part of the first 50 to subscribe for curious grown-ups...once a month letter subscription containing a personal destination story, one original photograph, one recipe card and one useful travel or lifestyle insight. 

To be delivered by your favorite postal employee, directly to your mailbox. How much fun to open something NOT a bill and NOT an advertisement, but an actual feel good letter.

$12 per month for this first 6 month limited edition. 

This first subscription offering will begin in October of 2026 thru to March of 2027. Additional mailings will continue for $15 per month with a minimum 6 month subscription. Depending on interest, International offerings may begin next year.

These letters, like all According to Una blogs, will be written from direct experiences, not AI generated glop. Real life events, real life locations, involving real life people and places with actual photos taken by me.

Yes there is chaos and potential unknowns, but learning and living other towns, other cultures, other foods; walking new paths, seeing new things - opens your heart and mind to all sorts of amazing opportunities.
