The American Southwest

Absolutely gorgeous anytime of year.  With skiing in the winter and hiking the rest of the year, Taos and the Four Corners region is incredible on so many levels.  Mesa Verde, Santa Fe; the history, art and culture and food will keep you going for many many weeks on end.

Explore Local

The Pacific Northwest is amazing.  Close to 50 years and I still have yet to discover every nook and cranny.  I do however, have a quite a few fun day trips as well as week or longer adventures.  From the remote and incredible coastline to a vibrant downtown....to an amazing array of craft breweries in the funky historical community found in the upper NW corner.  Hop the border and your options increase 10 fold.  Sail the San Juans, camp the North Cascades, Drink your way across the Walla Walla valley; a plethora of options for you and your family.

Peru

Gosh, I am in love with Peru.  Lima is absolutely stunning on so many levels.  Cusco and the Machu Picchu corridor take your breath away.  Nasca Lines, Lake Titicaca, and the truly magnificent City of Iquitos, located deep in the heart of the Amazon.  Having spent three months traveling the country, I could easily go back again and again and again.

Western Australia

Remote and unexplored.  This vast and majestic land adjacent to the Indian Ocean and the largest fringe reef system in the world - The Ningaloo.  Sure, it's a tad bit more travel intensive to arrive into Perth, and explore from there, but it is certainly worth your while.
